One view of the guest journey, from discovery to departure
A reservation is only one moment in a much longer relationship. Here is a practical way to connect the handoffs that matter.
Follow the journey, not the department chart
A guest may discover a property, ask a question, book, arrive, order a meal, request help, and leave feedback. Each step often lives in a different tool or inbox. Start by mapping the moments where information changes hands, especially reservation to front desk, front desk to housekeeping, and service request to resolution.
Make the next action visible
A useful operating view tells the team what has happened, what is due next, and who owns it. The goal is not to collect more data for its own sake. It is to help a real person respond before a guest has to repeat a request.
Measure the experience as well as the transaction
Bookings and revenue matter, but they do not show whether a room was ready on time or whether a request was resolved. Pick a small number of service measures, review exceptions daily, and improve the handoff that created each one.
